The CP Diary Trilogy

Three Books. One Journey. A Cause That Matters

The CP Diary Trilogy brings together years of honest writing, reflection, and lived experiences, with what I later learned was a disability.

What began as online writing has grown into three connected books exploring identity, resilience, spirituality, and survival.

These are gentle, reflective books for anyone who has faced uncertainty, challenge, loss, or the need to redefine themselves, or their life.

Every purchase supports charities and organisations working with people facing physical, emotional, and mental health challenges.

When you read, you’re giving back.

Cerebral Palsy - A Story

Living with cerebral palsy is enormously difficult. But what if you never knew you had it? This is the incredible story of Ilana Estelle.
Born the second of premature twins, an hour apart, from a young age Ilana knew she was different, but for all the wrong reasons. A child of the 60s, Ilana experienced first-hand the way that disability was, so often brushed under the carpet, not spoken about. Her constant physical and mental struggles made her feel isolated, alone, frustrated, and misunderstood… and it took 46 years for her to find out why.

Part memoir, part motivational guide, Cerebral Palsy: a story ‘Finding the Calm After The Storm’ is Ilana’s open and honest journey from an angry, confused child, knowing something was wrong, not knowing what was wrong, what her disability was, or that there was a diagnosis, to the ‘real’ her – a courageous woman using her experiences and lessons to create inspiring messages about mental and physical health, positivity, resilience and change.”

Spirituality, Healing and Me

Everyday life has never been more challenging and it’s easy to lose sight of who we are and who we want to be.
In Spirituality, Healing and Me, Ilana Estelle draws on her experiences of emotional, mental and physical disability, to show how tuning into our spiritual side can improve wellbeing, heal our minds, and set us firmly back on track.
Ilana shows how focusing on values such as understanding, empathy, compassion, tolerance, kindness, creativity and acceptance can help us find our inner calm.

Packed with inspiring messages and real-life vignettes, Ilana’s book shows how spirituality can help us navigate even the roughest waters.

Survival - The Covid Years

Ilana shares her overwhelming physical and mental struggles
within the chaos of the pandemic. Navigating the daily turbulence and ever-changing rules
and restrictions
Ilana explains how these things jarred with her physical, mental, and emotional needs leaving her constantly out of control and panicked. Locked down and scared for her life, Ilana turned once again to writing, a process that helped her cope and reach out beyond life, within ‘four walls’. The Covid Years shows how
one woman learned to deal with stress, anxiety, and on-going self-isolation through reflection and the healing power of words, and a determination to reconnect to the outside world. A must-read for anyone wanting to shed light on their own journey through Covid-19

As someone who has spastic cerebral palsy myself, the author's story really hit home for me. Although my conditions are not as severe, I still could relate. Very VERY inspirational, NEVER NEVER let your imperfections define you.

Reader Reviews

I really enjoyed reading this book. It is structured as a collection of reflections arranged in chapters around the chapter themes. Some chapters unfold Ilana’s story, while others provide a window on how Ilana has come to terms with events and circumstances and the outlook on life that is enabling her to move forward.

The style is gentle and easy to read. I felt I was sharing a coffee and a chat with a good friend as I read. It is not just for people living with a disability - there is wisdom here for all of us. A book for anyone who enjoys conversations that go beyond the superficial things in life.
